Cyber Security Reviewer Level I

Chambersburg, PA

Key Role:
Perform Cyber command readiness inspections (CCRI) on Microsoft Windows, Unix/Linux, Web Servers, Networks, Networks, or other technologies according to CCRI certification. Use the DoD client’s Field Security Operations (FSO) required network security scanning tools, including Retina or Nessus based on CCRI certification requirements by DoD FSO. Prepare brief slides and summary of findings analysis. Apply written and oral communication expertise to interact with clients to perform technical audits. Perform briefings on technical vulnerabilities to a government client leadership. This position requires up to 75% of travel to various client sites in and outside of US on regular basis and is located in Chambersburg, PA.

Basic Qualifications:-1+ years of experience in the IT field-Ability to consolidate, create, and brief findings based on analysis-Ability to travel up to 75% of the time-Top Secret clearance required-HS diploma or GED required-8570 (Security+) Certification required

Additional Qualifications:

The selected candidate will formulate/define specifications for complex operating software programming applications or modify/maintain complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from the manufacturer. Design, code, test, debug, and document those programs. Provide overall operating system maintenance, such as sophisticated file maintenance routines, large telecommunications networks, computer accounting, and advanced mathematical/scientific software packages. Assist all phases of software systems programming applications. Evaluate new and existing software products.

Job Description:

Provide thought leadership around the technologies and approaches to enterprise data architecture, including master data management, data modeling, reference architecture, data strategy, innovation, and information sharing. Develop reference data architectures, including enterprise standards, principles, patterns, and vocabulary for implementation across the AF Logistics Enterprise. Advise teams on best practices related to big data clusters, maintaining and upgrading big data infrastructure components. Identify what data is available and relevant, including internal and external data sources, leveraging new data collection processes, as appropriate.

Senior IA Engineer

  • Perform ACAS scans of NIPR, SIPR and JWICs with weekly reports
  • Perform ACAS scans of IAVM task orders from DoDIN and reporting result to DoDIN
  • Maintain ACAS in accordance with TASKORD
  • Track and ensure customer divisions are following TASKORD, OPORD guidelines and deadlines
  • Advise and ensure system admins are correctly performing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
  • Write recommendations on software, hardware and ensure APLITS and deployment guides are being followed
  • Develop and perform penetration testing
  • Perform external IA consultations with supporting customer divisions
  • Assist in creating Executive Summery for principles or other Request for Information
  • Perform or assist in incident response to spillage or cross domain violation


  • DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance is required – Shall either be or have been determined favorably eligible for SCI within the past 23 months by the Intelligence Community
  • Certification as a Security professional at the DOD 8570 IAT-III level: CISSP, CISM, CISA
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business or related field of study from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in the following areas:
  • Performing Security Test and Evaluation on UNIX, AIX, Linux or Windows systems using open source and commercial tools such as but not limited to ACAS, Nmap, Wireshark and Splunk. System Administration (SA) experience with UNIX, AIX, Linux or Windows systems highly desired
  • Evaluating the results of ST&E, determining the system security risks, identifying existing mitigations, and developing feasible solutions to resolve those risks
  • Developing security documentation in support of system security certification and accreditation
